Christmas Photo shoot

Harper had fun in the beginning of her photo shoot. It started off well with cousin Andrew. I love these pictures of her looking at the camera and looking away. I can really see Brett and myself in her.
I LOVE this smile!

So we were fighting a cold and it was chilly outside... and someone had enough...
I love these pictures just as much as the happy ones.
And... my favorite picture!
The photo shoot was less than 10 minutes and there were so many good and funny pictures to choose from. Harper makes everything so fun! We love you H!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so fun this year since it was the first time Harper had many of the traditional foods. We had Thanksgiving dinner three times and she had so much fun all three times she didn't nap those days! She loved eating at the dining room table with Nana and Pop, loved eating GiGi's macaroni and cheese, loved her new stuffed animal Aunt Jennifer gave her, and playing with the twins. In fact at Coco and Granddad's house it was like Christmas for her because she got to play with all the big kid toys they have.

At my mom and dad's we wrote down things that we are thankful for and read them aloud. There are so many things we are thankful for the list could go on and on. I can't say how much both Brett and I are thankful for our families and their love and support.
We look forward to spending even more family time together during this holiday season!

Harper's World- almost 11 months

She can crawl  FAST, say mom, dad, Andrew, and tries to say Jackson. She can clap and today at Freebirds decided to "dance" to the heavy medal music they had playing. She has also tried to hit us in the face and then laugh or stare at us so we are working on that new discovery... She loves playing with her stuffed animals, rings, and reads books herself everyday. I try to read to her, but she likes to do it herself- very independent young lady! Harper has made many things at school and we can't wait to go see her Christmas Pageant next month.
Fun with Pop- worn out from all his tickling!
Eating is always interesting and fun. Harper is a GREAT eater.
Our baby bird loves Chinese food- especially Pei Wei.
Playing in the crib.
She adores her bunny. Every night she sucks on bunny's ears and sometimes when we go check in on her she's snuggling with bunny.
She has just about enough hair for a tiny bow! But... below is what the hair looks like after the bow is out- Troll Hair!
During this holiday of Thanksgiving, Brett and I want to express to all of our friends and family that we are thankful for you and are grateful we get to live life together. Most of all we are thankful for God's unending love and our reserved seat at His banquet table.
Better is one day in His house but...
while we are here on Earth let's enjoy our relationships with each other and continue to tell others about our awesome relationship with Him.
 Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween Fun

Harper was Minnie Mouse this year for Halloween. She loved her sparkly dress. She got to wear it twice- at Andrew's school Fall Festival and at our house on Halloween.
Putting the costume on for the first time...
Listening to the Music Man...
Hanging out at the party
We love getting dressed up and having some fun for Halloween.
Posing for pictures with cousin Andrew.
Reading her Halloween book.
Enough pictures!
Happy Halloween

Arboretum Pumpkin Time

We went to the Dallas Arboreum this past Sunday with Aunt Kim, Aunt Liz, Uncle Steve, Andrew, and Nana and Pop. It started out all good in the parking lot...
First picture went well with the grandparents...
Harper on a pumpkin- no bueno! The kid who is never scared of anything actually didn't like the pumpkins. Exhibit A
She was ok if someone was holding her away from the big bad scary pumpkins...
LOVED the koi fish in the pond!
Snuggly with Nana by the pumpkin flowers.
Mean model pose with the pumpkins.
Family Picture
Trying to get away from the pumpkins...

Snacks work well for pictures people!
Exhausted and ready to go home!
* Just a little side note- later that day at Walmart Harper was not scared of a motion activated Grim Reaper. In fact she laughed at it and reached towards it- go figure! And please don't worry- she is no longer scared of pumpkins- now she tries to kiss them!
