Park Fun

Harper has had so much fun going to the park lately. We've gone with Elizabeth and Andrew and she has a blast swinging and running around. They have a toddler playground area and Harper loves to climb the 3 steps and go head down the slide! She isn't scared at all of course!
Another thing Harper loves to do is to play Dance and Freeze at school. Her teachers said she loves it when they dance to music and turn it off to freeze, then dance again. Today she didn't even want to leave school she was having so much fun. Hmmm... maybe she will grow up to be a teacher!

More Ice Day Fun

When daddy got home from work he took Harper outside to play more in the snow...
All week we did wagon rides inside, but today Andrew came over so it was even more fun to ride around the house!
Harper enjoyed her Taco C dinner tonight- especially the black beans. We wiped her face and they still didn't come off and then daddy gave her a bubble bath and got her sparkling clean. Last time bathing in the duck- this weekend we are starting bathing big girl style so H can enjoy more of her toys.
Being at home this past week during the "ice storm" did give me a case of cabin fever- but it also had me thinking about my life and my family. I'm blessed by the life God has given me, the husband, the daughter, the family, the friends... For one of the first times in my life I'm not concerned about my looks, my wealth, or how I appear to others. I am so content with what He has given me and the precious joy I've received from listening and trusting Him. I guess it took an "ice storm" to slow me down and recognize that my heart is full.

Ice Ice Baby

This past week an ice storm blew in. All schools were canceled for four days. That's never happened in my 8 years of teaching, but of course since the Super Bowl is here this weekend an ice storm blew in and stayed. It even snowed more today! Due to my cabin fever I bundled H up and we went outside to watch the neighborhood boys play in the snow. She had a blast laughing at them in the snow... until she found out laying in the snow isn't that warm...
Deciding to walk out there...
Walking towards the boys carefully...
And DOWN...
Mommy took H in and wiped off the snow and warmed her up. Then we went out the garage to look at the greenbelt. Harper loved watching the snow fall from the comfort of the dry garage.
Back inside nice and warm!
