Snow Day!

We had to take Harper out in the snow and grab some pictures since this doesn't happen in Texas very often!
Luckily, someone gave me a warm fleece suit at one of my showers. It kept her really warm.
We made Daddy take our picture!

Harper liked the snow and how bright it was until...

it started hitting her in the face and boy did she squish up her face and turn into our chests!

Harper and daddy on the snow day.

Even Jackson had to get in on the snow action!

After all that playing in the snow Harper was worn out and slept in her snowsuit just like that on the couch for a while!

Since Harper is now sleeping so good through the night, she doesn't sleep as much throughout the day. For her morning nap sometimes I let her sleep on our bed (as I "rest" next to her). I love to watch her sleep! Notice how peaceful she looks. Is there anything sweeter than that?

Many moms brag about their kids, oh who am I kidding they all do! So I'm about to brag about my baby girl. The child slept 7 hours last night! Yeah! We let her wake up naturally and she slept that long. Maybe it was the rain, maybe it was the prayers for more sleep her parents were asking for, or maybe it's because she's the best kid ever. Who knows... but she is such a good baby and is a constant joy to have around. I mean I can literally count on one hand how many fussy times she has had. I'm just sorry Justin and Megan had to witness one of them! Here she is snuggling with me after one of her feedings this past weekend.
When it's raining outside Harper and I go walk in the mall. There are good and bad things about that. We stay warm and dry, but we also spend money!Harper is all bundled up for her trip to the mall.
Some days Harper loves her tummy time and some days does not. When she does not like it, I compromise and do some time on the tummy and some time on her back. She loves looking up at the ocean animals.
Yes, her shirt says Poop Machine... not sure who made that at my shower, but she did wear it around the house the other day. Lucky for us she is not a poop machine! I know we've posted a picture similar to the next one, but I love this picture.

Nanny came to visit Harper on Sunday and Harper loved meeting her.

I wish it wasn't cold and flu season because I would be showing off this little child to everyone! She has found her hands and enjoys sucking her hand and fingers! She also started smiling more this week when mommy and daddy talk and sing to her. She especially likes it when we sing the "Shorty Get Low" song to her (apple bottom jeans boots with the fur...) Sarita knows what I'm talking about! She also likes Taylor Swift and Queen's We Will Rock You song...
Gotta go- sleeping beauty just woke up!

Time Passes Quickly

You know I thought only older people said that (time passes quickly), but I know I'm not old and I feel like it's flying by right now. I can't believe Harper is almost a month old! She has grown so much. She can turn her head and lift it up- tummy time has paid off! I noticed the other day that her hair is growing and her eyelashes are getting so long. She is sleeping longer at night and is really enjoying her bath time. Here are some more pics of our baby girl!
Hanging out with Aunt Kim.

Having fun at bath time!
From Harper: I sleep in my bows sometimes because I love them so much! And yes, I do wake up that beautiful!

Sweet girl sleeping on her daddy.

Relaxing in her February colors. Notice the shoes and socks with the butterflies! So cute!

I've got hundreds of pictures to go through for her baby book thanks to all of her family- how will I ever decide which ones to print and put in there? I've never in my life taken so many pictures- usually I'm so in the moment I don't take many pictures, but with her I want to capture every little thing. :) It was very hard just picking out the pictures for her announcement- which we ordered the other day and should be getting soon. I want to thank Krysten for putting the announcement together- she did an awesome job.
